There is not one, and we would rather say so. The maker makes XS through XL but publishes no ankle-circumference range behind those sizes, and we are not going to invent numbers or copy them from another brand. What the maker does state is that this ankle brace is meant to fit tightly, and that if you are near the top of a range you should size up. Use the 30-day return window if it is wrong.
Spring steel is thin for the stiffness it gives, so the brace can hold its shape sideways without becoming bulky enough to stop fitting inside a shoe. It also does not fatigue and soften the way a moulded plastic stay eventually does.
In court shoes and trainers, yes — let the laces out a hole or two. That is what it is designed for. Boots with a tight ankle and any kind of dress shoe are the exceptions.
Either. The same brace works on both, so order two if you want one on each side.
Longer than a wrap and that is the trade-off you are making. Roughly a minute the first few times, well under that once you know how tight you like the lower eyelets. The strap over the top means you rarely have to re-tie during the day.
Loosen the laces, close the strap onto itself, then hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent and dry it flat. Do not put it in a tumble dryer — heat is hard on the eyelet backing and the strap adhesive.
