The annoying part of most hopper bird feeders is not filling them. It is the lid. You get out there with a full scoop in one hand, and the roof wants two hands and a bit of a fight, and half the seed goes on the grass. This bird feeder puts a latch tab on the front edge of the roof: press it, the roof lifts, and it stays hanging while you pour.
