Most people who buy a splinted wrist brace end up owning two: a rigid one for the night and a softer one for the day, because nobody wants to type in something that will not bend. This one is both, and the difference is a metal splint that slides out of the wrist brace.

The splint is the part of this wrist brace worth paying attention to. It is not a flat bar — it is curved along its length so it sits into the hollow of your palm rather than flattening it. That means the hold comes from the shape of the splint instead of from you cranking the straps, which is why the wrist brace can be firm without feeling tight.

Two wide straps wrap the forearm and set independently. This wrist brace has a neoprene shell, so it is warmer and more solid-feeling than a mesh wrist brace — good in a cold house, less good in August. The palm and all four fingers stay open, and the thumb has its own opening.

It is a mirror-image design, not one shell that flips over. A right wrist brace on a left wrist sits twisted and gaps along the forearm, so pick the side you mean. Sizes are S/M for a 5.1" to 6.7" wrist and L/XL for 6.7" to 8.7", measured with a soft tape around the wrist.

Slide the splint out and the same wrist brace becomes something you can drive, cook and work in.

These are this brace’s own published measurements, not a generic guide. Wrap a soft tape around the wrist you are ordering for and read it off. These two ranges meet at 6.7", so if that is your number either will close — take S/M for a firmer hold and L/XL for more room over the forearm.

  • S/M – wrist 5.1"–6.7" (13–17 cm)
  • L/XL – wrist 6.7"–8.7" (17–22 cm)

Then pick your hand. Left and right are mirror-image parts, so choose the side you actually want to wear it on — the other one will not lie flat.

SHAPED SPLINT

The Splint Is Curved, Not Flat

A flat bar under your palm holds the wrist straight by pressing everything else flat with it. This one is bent along its length to sit into the natural hollow of the hand, so the hold comes from the shape rather than from pulling the straps tighter.

COMES OUT

Slide It Out And It Is A Different Brace

The splint lives in a sleeve along the underside and pulls straight out. With it in, the wrist brace holds an angle and you are not bending that wrist. With it out, you have a firm neoprene support you can drive and type in. Two braces, one purchase.

NOT UNIVERSAL

Left And Right Are Different Parts

This is a mirror-image design, not one shell that flips. The thumb opening and the splint channel are cut for one hand, so a right brace on a left wrist sits twisted and gaps at the forearm. Choose the wrist you actually want to wear it on.

OVERNIGHT

Made For The Hours You Are Not Awake

Asleep you have no say in where your wrist ends up. That is the whole argument for a splinted wrist brace, and it is also why the fingers are left completely free — you can still reach for a glass of water without taking it off.

Firm for the night, softer for the day.

Frequently asked
questions.

The questions people actually ask before buying one.

It slides out of a sleeve along the underside of the brace. In, and the wrist brace holds an angle. Out, and it is a firm neoprene wrap you can bend your wrist in. Most people leave it in overnight and take it out for the day.

The one you will wear it on. Left and right are mirror-image parts — the thumb opening and the splint channel only line up one way, so the wrong side sits twisted. Choose Right or Left at the top of the page.

Measure around your wrist with a soft tape. S/M fits 5.1" to 6.7" (13–17 cm), L/XL fits 6.7" to 8.7" (17–22 cm). They meet at 6.7"; take S/M for a firmer hold or L/XL for more room.

Warmer than a mesh wrist brace, yes — that is what neoprene does. Some people want exactly that in a cold house or an air-conditioned office. If you run hot at night, a mesh-shelled brace is the better call.

With the splint out, easily. With the splint in, you can type but you will be slower, because the wrist is deliberately not moving. The fingers and thumb are free either way.

It comes shaped to follow the palm and it is not meant to be reshaped at home. If it needs to be flatter for you, take it out and wear the brace soft rather than working the metal.

Pull the splint out first. Hand wash the shell in cool water with a little mild detergent, press the water out and air dry it flat. Neoprene and tumble dryers do not get on.

Free U.S. shipping and a 30-day return window, so you can measure, wear it for a few nights and send it back if the fit is wrong.
